The story of Daniel and Wendy, the duo behind Ibizadesk, with their passion, adventure and love for Ibiza.
Daniel, a young Parisian, visited Ibiza at 18 and instantly fell in love with the island. Soon after, he moved to Ibiza and opened “The Croissant Show”, still a reference and legend on the island. Soon his path led him to Ibiza’s bustling nightclubs, where he was active as manager and promoter of some well-known clubs.
However, adventure called again, and this time it led him to Belgium, where he started a new life and created several hospitality businesses from scratch. Despite his move to Belgium, he remained attracted to the island by organising legendary “party flights” and promoting the club scene in the 1990s.
In 2001, Daniel met Wendy at one of his Belgian restaurants. The spark immediately struck and soon she too was gripped by the Ibiza microbe. With a background as a commercial engineer, Wendy eventually made the switch to the hospitality and events sector, where she further developed her talents.
In 2017, the couple decided to turn over a new leaf. Daniel said goodbye to nightlife, and together they founded Ibizadesk, followed by the launch of the tapas bar ‘Ibizabouff’ in Hasselt and their own artisanal liqueur from Ibiza, Hierbas Ibicencas.
Within Ibizadesk, Wendy is the heart and soul, where she guides clients from start to finish with her warm personal approach. Wendy continues her professional growth by retraining to obtain an “API” in Spain, a qualification similar to the BIV broker in Belgium. This enables her to provide even better support to clients for both short-term and long-term rentals and in navigating the complicated process of buying properties in Ibiza.
Daniel and Wendy’s story is an inspiring example of how passion, entrepreneurship and a deep love for Ibiza can lead to the creation of a thriving business and a life full of adventures.
