Parador de Ibiza
They've been working on it for years (Spanish pace, you know) but now the time has finally come: the Ibiza parador is open! The experienced traveler is familiar with the term 'parador', but for those who don't ring a bell: 'paradores' are charming and luxurious Spanish state hotels that are usually located in authentic monumental buildings (sometimes also in modern buildings). 'Different than usual', that's for sure, although you can sometimes take the term 'luxury' with a grain of salt. The Ibiza Parador is located in Dalt Vila, the historic center of Ibiza Town and is located next to the cathedral, in a 16th century fortress with aimpressive view. More than 27 million euros have been invested in the renovation and adaptation of the historic building.
